Goal Setting for Greatness 2015-11-30

Hello and welcome to another Goal Setting for Greatness linky. This is a weekly linky where we set ourselves goals for the week (or month) ahead and provide accountability and support for each other.

I set myself monthly goals, and the idea is that achieving my weekly goals will enable me to meet those monthly goals – which in turn will allow me to meet my long term goals. Whether you set weekly or monthly goals – or some other frequency – you are welcome to link up here, regardless of what type of blog you have.

November Goals: an Update

Increase my Income by 5% – Nailed it! I actually increased my income by 5.2%! Hoorah!

Implement training – I did bits and bobs of this, but not as much as I would have liked.

Get my email course launched – Big fat nope. Not even close.

December Goals

Increase my Income by 5% – I want to do this every month from now on!

Take 2 weeks off – Nursery is closed for 2 weeks this month (for Christmas!) and I want to be able to spend that time with S. I want to get ahead of myself in the majority of my work so that I can take time out without trying to snatch time at the computer to get things done.

Set structured goals for next year – This year I’ve sort of been winging it with the goal setting, thinking up new goals each week and month without any big plan – I realised about half way through the year that wasn’t the best idea.

Last Week’s Weekly Goals

Stay up to date with work – I just about managed this, by the skin of my teeth… then I looked at my calendar, and my heart sank when I realised I’d managed to book myself in to spend an entire day with a client every Tuesday between now and Christmas.

Begin the next chapter of my blogging course – didn’t happen. I’m not even going to pretend I looked at the course book.

Complete two emails from my course – again, nothing.

This Week’s Goals

Block client work – I have a couple of clients for whom I write weekly blog posts. If I can get an agreement on the month’s posts up front, I can crack on and just write and schedule them.

Take Wednesday off – Yes, I might need to get my work sorted before nursery finishes for Christmas, but I’m also aware that Wednesdays are my daughter’s days off – so I need to make them fun for her!

Begin reading Your Best Year 2016 – I bought this book when it first came out a while back but it’s been languishing in a pile of paperwork. Time to unearth it and get cracking on my plans for 2016!

Now it’s your turn! If you’d like to join in, please add the badge below to your post and link it up here.

Please note: if your post does not include a clear list of goals for the week/month ahead, it will be deleted without prior warning.
