Hello and welcome to another Goal Setting for Greatness linky. This is a weekly linky where we set ourselves goals for the week (or month) ahead and provide accountability and support for each other.
I set myself monthly goals, and the idea is that achieving my weekly goals will enable me to meet those monthly goals – which in turn will allow me to meet my long term goals. Whether you set weekly or monthly goals – or some other frequency – you are welcome to link up here, regardless of what type of blog you have.
On with the goals, then.
October Goals – Update
Increase my Income by 5% – This didn’t happen. Despite a busy month and lots of running around, I actually ended the month 10% down on last month’s figures. Not good – for goals but also for cashflow.
Stay on Track with Training – I have fallen behind the weekly timetable for the course I purchased – but I am making progress, and have been working on it. I got stuck on one area of the course which involved blog design; there’s so much I want to do on my blog before I move forward with the training.
Exercise a Minimum of Five Times per Week – I managed this one week out of four. I’m classing that as a win though: I’ve had a busy month; my daughter has been ill… and other excuses.
Increase my Income by 5% – I have big plans for my business in the next few months – but I need to finance them!
Implement training – It’s all well and good signing up to academies, attending events and buying training courses – but they’re not worth much if I don’t actually implement what I’ve learned!
Get my email course launched – I have plans for a short email course, and since it’s only short there’s no reason not to get it put together and out there by the end of the month!
Last Week’s Weekly Goals
Send three pitch emails – I did send some emails – I think possibly more than three!
Get up to date with training – I did and I didn’t. As mentioned above, I’ve been caught up in the part of the course that looks at blog design and layout. I may need to enlist some help!
Exercise five times – I did it! And I feel fantastic!
This Week’s Goals
Promote my book – Did I tell you I self published a book last week? It won’t make me a millionaire just yet, but I’m very proud of it, and believe it can be helpful to others, so I want to promote it and get the word out about it!
Get boring tasks up to date – I have lots of boring tasks I need to do each week, and it’s easy to allow them to fill an entire morning – or even every morning I’m sitting at my desk! If I can get them all up to date I will be able to block out some proper time for working on implementing the things I’ve learned in training.
Plan my email course – I already have a rough outline of fourteen daily emails; I need to refine those and figure out which order they will go in.
Now it’s your turn! If you’d like to join in, please add the badge below to your post and link it up here.
Please note: if your post does not include a clear list of goals for the week/month ahead, it will be deleted without prior warning.
This linky will be live until Wednesday evening (BST), so feel free to add a post later in the week if you’ve not got round to setting any goals yet.
