Hello and welcome to another Goal Setting for Greatness linky. This is a weekly linky where we set ourselves goals for the week (or month) ahead and provide accountability and support for each other.
I set myself monthly goals, and the idea is that achieving my weekly goals will enable me to meet those monthly goals – which in turn will allow me to meet my long term goals. Whether you set weekly or monthly goals – or some other frequency – you are welcome to link up here, regardless of what type of blog you have.
On with the goals, then.
September Goals – Update
Increase my Income by 5% – this month my focus has been on preparation for other things, which has meant I’ve not been focusing on actual work! That’s not ideal, but I’m hoping it will pay off in the not too distant future!
Nail Sugar Free September – Despite awful internet connectivity problems that lasted for most of September, I think I’ve done ok with this one!
Schedule Regular Time for Development – at least 3 hours per week – I think I actually did this! I have invested in a training course and I feel like I’ve been making progress in a lot of areas this month.
Increase my Income by 5% – as I said last month: it’s staying on here until I do it!
Stay on Track with Training – I have invested in a training course which requires a minimum of five hours’ work per week. I feel like if I keep up with it, I will make enough money to pay for the course and then some – the trick is to make sure I stay on track with it!
Exercise a Minimum of Five Times per Week – I’ve been doing PiYo for eight weeks, but I finished the timetable that came with the dvds this week. I know what I’m like; I am really good at making excuses not to exercise! I want to make sure I keep up my exercise routine.
Last Week’s Weekly Goals
Study – This week I have done a little studying, but nowhere near as much as I should have. I need to make more time for this sort of thing!
Keep up the Sugar Free September emails – this didn’t go exactly as planned. On the one hand, I’ve not sent an email every day this week… on the other, I think perhaps 30 days of emails was a tall order – both in terms of my compiling them, and people reading them!
Read Self Development Books Daily – I actually did this… but only because I was reading them before going to bed as well as in the mornings!
This Week’s Goals
Email Contacts – if I want to increase my income this month, I need to email my contacts to get more work in!
Schedule Five Hours for Training – If I want to do five hours’ training, I need to schedule that time in, rather than waiting until the end of the week to see whether it’s happened or not! I have a fairly free week so it’s completely doable!
Exercise Five Times – I mean proper exercise too, not “oh, I walked to the shops!” I’m really good at cutting corners, and I know that exercise is one area I can’t afford to do that. When I’m exercising I feel like I think more clearly, I have more ideas, I feel more creative, I get more done.
