Hello and welcome to another Goal Setting for Greatness linky. This is a weekly linky where we set ourselves goals for the week (or month) ahead and provide accountability and support for each other.
I set myself monthly goals, and the idea is that achieving my weekly goals will enable me to meet those monthly goals – which in turn will allow me to meet my long term goals. Whether you set weekly or monthly goals – or some other frequency – you are welcome to link up here, regardless of what type of blog you have.
On with the goals, then.
Increase my Income by 5% – this one is staying on here until I achieve it! I’m doing Chalene Johnson’s 30 Day Push at the moment, something I would recommend for anyone who wants to really set some proper goals and get going with them. I’m sure the things I’m learning and practising will help me to achieve this goal on a monthly basis.
Nail Sugar Free September – normally my second goal is related to the blog… but actually, this sort of is. I’m running a free group through sign-ups on the Facebook page for my personal blog. I’m running this as a free taster to see how it goes and how I get on. I want to send out some high quality emails and provide real value to the people who have joined in.
Schedule Regular Time for Development – at least 3 hours per week – I want to make sure I’m actively working on myself and my business so as to move forward, and I can’t do that while I’m treading water – so I need to make sure I’m making a regular effort to improve things.
Last Week’s Weekly Goals
Send two pitch emails – I actually did this one… I’m as surprised as you are! I’ve bene stupidly busy but trying to get as much as possible ticked off my to do list.
Get ahead with SFS emails – I did get ahead of myself, but then I missed a day and I’m back to square one! I need to stay consistently ahead.
Get up by 5:30am at least four times this week – I did it five times! Nailed it. And you know what, despite having a ridiculous cold and feeling rubbish, I still wake up feeling brilliant. The idea of getting up at 5:30am is from a book I’ve reviewed on my other blog today.
This Week’s Goals
Clear the decks – if I want to make more money, I need to make time to fit that extra work in. I have a couple of tasks that have been hanging on the end of my to do list for a week or so now, and it’s time to get rid of them!
Research extra content for Sugar Free September – I want to provide real, valuable content for my participants and that means finding them recipes, articles and videos.
Read a self development book – It is entirely doable to finish one book this week; with my 5:30am starts I can crack on and read something that will get me motivated and inspired to do great things. (if you have a suggestion for such a book, please feel free to leave a comment)
