Hello and welcome to another Goal Setting for Greatness linky. This is a weekly linky where we set ourselves goals for the week (or month) ahead and provide accountability and support for each other.
I set myself monthly goals, and the idea is that achieving my weekly goals will enable me to meet those monthly goals – which in turn will allow me to meet my long term goals. Whether you set weekly or monthly goals – or some other frequency – you are welcome to link up here, regardless of what type of blog you have.
On with the goals, then.
Increase my Income by 5% – this one is staying on here until I achieve it! I’m doing Chalene Johnson’s 30 Day Push at the moment, something I would recommend for anyone who wants to really set some proper goals and get going with them. I’m sure the things I’m learning and practising will help me to achieve this goal on a monthly basis.
Nail Sugar Free September – normally my second goal is related to the blog… but actually, this sort of is. I’m running a free group through sign-ups on the Facebook page for my personal blog. I’m running this as a free taster to see how it goes and how I get on. I want to send out some high quality emails and provide real value to the people who have joined in.
Schedule Regular Time for Development – at least 3 hours per week – I want to make sure I’m actively working on myself and my business so as to move forward, and I can’t do that while I’m treading water – so I need to make sure I’m making a regular effort to improve things.
Last Week’s Weekly Goals
Send two pitch emails – This one did not happen! My wifi and my other site have both been playing up this week, so where I would normally do my work through the day while my daughter is at nursery and then in the evening when she’s in bed, this week I’ve had to try and cram as much as possible into the time she’s at nursery and gamble on whether the wifi will work when I’m home. So certain things have been left for later in the month.
Get ahead with SFS emails – I’ve actually managed this one! I was so worried about being in a position where I had no wifi and couldn’t send out an email, I actually produced several emails when I got some wifi access. Now to stay ahead of myself!
Spend 3 hours on development – I did this one too, strangely enough. I started reading The Miracle Morning and have been setting my alarm incrementally earlier. It’s odd, but it’s actually not that hard to get up at 5:30m. And it’s an amazing feeling to have completed a workout, done some reading and maybe even meditated before S wakes up.
This Week’s Goals
Send two pitch emails – I’m hopeful that TalkTalk will pull their fingers out and actually fix my wifi connection this week, and I’ll be able to spend more time on sending pitches and improving my business.
Stay ahead with SFS emails – It’s easy to schedule a few emails, but I need to make sure they’re good quality emails with lots of information and advice too, or there’s no point in bothering.
Get up by 5:30am on at least four mornings – As it stands, my alarm is only set for four mornings a week – those are the days my daughter goes to nursery and I work. I’m debating setting my alarm on more than four mornings, so as to keep up with my reading and meditation (and a workout without heckling from a toddler) but we’ll see.
Now it’s your turn! If you’d like to join in, please add the badge below to your post and link it up here.
Please note: if your post does not include a clear list of goals for the week/month ahead, it will be deleted without prior warning.
This linky will be live until Wednesday evening (BST), so feel free to add a post later in the week if you’ve not got round to setting any goals yet.
