Goal Setting for Greatness 2015-08-31

Hello and welcome to another Goal Setting for Greatness linky. This is a weekly linky where we set ourselves goals for the week (or month) ahead and provide accountability and support for each other.

I set myself monthly goals, and the idea is that achieving my weekly goals will enable me to meet those monthly goals – which in turn will allow me to meet my long term goals. Whether you set weekly or monthly goals – or some other frequency – you are welcome to link up here, regardless of what type of blog you have.

It’s the end of August, so time to recap on last month’s goals, and set some new ones for September…

On with the goals, then.

August Goals

Increase my Income by 5% – I didn’t quite nail this one, and actually ended the month £5 down on last month. Not ideal, but I had big gains in other areas so I can’t complain.

More work on the Background of the Blog – I’ve done loads with both this site and my personal site this month. The majority are things you might not necessarily notice, but I’m pleased with the progress I’m making.

Make a Dent in the E-Book – I’ve not only made a dent in the e-book, I feel like I’ve got a real plan and direction for this and future books. Very pleased with this one.

September Goals

Increase my Income by 5% – this one is staying on here until I achieve it! I’m doing Chalene Johnson’s 30 Day Push at the moment, something I would recommend for anyone who wants to really set some proper goals and get going with them. I’m sure the things I’m learning and practising will help me to achieve this goal on a monthly basis.

Nail Sugar Free September – normally my second goal is related to the blog… but actually, this sort of is. I’m running a free group through sign-ups on the Facebook page for my personal blog. I’m running this as a free taster to see how it goes and how I get on. I want to send out some high quality emails and provide real value to the people who have joined in.

Schedule Regular Time for Development – at least 3 hours per week – I want to make sure I’m actively working on myself and my business so as to move forward, and I can’t do that while I’m treading water – so I need to make sure I’m making a regular effort to improve things.

Last Week’s Weekly Goals

 

Stay on top of everything – Not only did I stay on top of my work, I decided on a whim to offer a free online Sugar Free September group, set it up and got 50 people signed up to it! Safe to say this goal was absolutely crushed!

Keep up the website makeovers – I did a fair amount of work to the websites this week. There’s still work to be done, though I fear what’s left to do may take a back seat while I get on with a few other things.

Copy & paste blog posts for the e-book – I started doing this, and then decided on a better way of doing it – so I’ve started doing that instead. I feel like I’ve managed to break it down from one massive “how will I ever do this” goal into several tiny, easy to sort goals.

This Week’s Goals

 

Send two pitch emails – there are a couple of companies I’ve noticed recently who I think I could really help. I want to approach them and show them how I can be of assistance.

Get ahead with SFS emails – I have ideas and notes for emails to my SFS group in a notepad and various bits in my email system already – but I need to put them all together and actually compile and schedule the emails.

Spend 3 hours on development – this is totally doable; I have a reasonable workload this week but I also have no meetings scheduled so no downtime travelling between them and suchlike. If I can be strict with myself I can get those 3 hours in!
